Stunning: Lumix S1rII will be able to shoot 8,1k Open Gate and also can take 176 MP High Resolution images (handheld)

I just got 100% reliable video specs of the new Lumix S1rII camera:

  • 4K120 without crop
  • 8,1K Open-Gate will be released later with a Firmware Update

And I got one more crazy specs for photo enthusiasts:

  • 176 MP High Res with sensor shift…handheld(!) and by combining 8 images.

FAKE or REAL? Teaser for the world’s first Sigma FP camera with Full Frame Foveon sensor!

This teaser image for a Sigma FP camera presentation is shared on Weibo. The image shows the X3 logo, which stands for the famous Foveon technology! I honestly don’t know if the image is FAKE or REAL. The skeptic in me knows that Sigma CEO Yamaki said the development would take a long time. So I would be very surprised to see a camera like this at the CP+ show. At best we can hope it’s real, but what we’re getting is just a prototype. Something that won’t be on the market for another 1-2 years. What do you think?

If the teaser is legit than we can definitely assume a couple of things:

  • This is a new FP camera with X3 Foveon sensor (as we can see the logo)
  • It’s L-mount
  • It’s Full Frame

Exclusive First specs of the new Lumix S1rII: 44MP, 40fps, 8stops IBIS, price around $3,500

The new high-resolution camera from Panasonic is coming. But first a CONFUSING update: One source told me early this morning it will be called Lumix S1xII. But he made a typo and I DELETED my previous post!

I am checking the information I am getting right now, and hopefully I can share some more specs with you super soon. But in short, this camera is almost $1,000 cheaper than the Canon R5II, but offers MORE (faster fps and better video I’m told). Is that enough to make a breakthrough in sales? I don’t know, it’s hard to convince Canon-Sony-Nikon photographers when they’ve already invested in a system. But it’s certainly an exciting camera… don’t you think?
