Still a long way to go before we will get the first L-mount Foveon camera

It’s always a pleasure to hear Sigma CEO Kazuto Yamaki share his thoughtful insights on the photography industry. He remains deeply committed to bringing an L-mount full-frame Foveon camera to market — though it’s still some way off.

“We’re still developing the Foveon sensor. It’s currently in the technology development stage. We’re working on the pixel architecture, but haven’t yet begun designing the complete sensor. The technical challenges, however, have been significantly narrowed down.”

Sounds like it’s not coming before 2030 🙁
