About the Lumix financial he didn’t say much:
the performance of our Imaging division is steadily improving globally.
In terms of investment and R&D, what share does Micro 4:3 represent today compared to full-frame?
Our core strategy is to meet the diverse needs of creators with two mounts: full-frame and micro 4:3, each with distinct features. From an R&D and investment perspective, we will develop and evolve the latest technologies common to both systems, with the exception of the image sensor. We want to improve the development of both systems in the long term, offering full format for those looking for great expressiveness and 4:3″ for those looking for mobility and speed.
Compact L-mount lenses coming:
I believe it is important to enhance the full-frame lens lineup and develop compact lenses suitable for the small Lumix S9 body for now.
About developing new fixed lens cameras with large sensors:
As compact cameras with integrated lenses become more popular, we will continue to consider user needs in this category.

The Japanese shop Mapcamera has published the 20 best-selling cameras of the last 12 months

Surprise: Panasonic will announce two cameras and one lens on May 13?
I am 100% certain that on May 13 Panasonic will have a major announcement. I am yet not 100% sure about what to expect but I now got more solid hints about three new products:
- New Lumix S1 successor: Possibly with the same 24Mp partially stacked sensor of this camera. 50fps, 4k60p uncropped.
- A “different” version of this camera: Maybe something like a Lumix S1IIx for more heavy video use?
- New standard zoom lens with fast aperture as teased on the Lumix roadmap: 24/28mm to 60mm. Aperture f/2.8 or even a crazy f/2.0?
This information has yet to be confirmed, but overall I think it’s unlikely that we’ll get an S1HII or a compact cine L-mount camera without an EVF.
