Sigma’s New Bokeh King is Coming on September 9!
Sigma will announce a groundbreaking new lens on September 9: the Sigma 135mm f/1.4 full-frame autofocus lens. This will be the first of its kind in the world! For comparison, Sony already has the famous 135mm f/1.8 GM, but Sigma is going even further with an aperture of f/1.4 — that’s 2/3 of a stop faster and around 20–25% shallower depth of field.
According to a teaser shared by Sigma China, the lens is officially called the “MASTER OF OPTICS.”

Here are the leaked specs we can share:
- Full-frame autofocus design
- 105mm filter size
- Approx. 1320g weight
- Black finish
- Removable tripod collar
- Available for Sony E and Leica L-mount
- Official announcement: September 9, 9:30 Berlin time
Early sample photos we heard about are said to deliver incredible bokeh — extremely smooth and perfectly round bokeh balls unlike anything you get from an 85mm f/1.4. The lens is large, but still practical for real-world shooting.
But that’s not all! Two more Sigma lenses are rumored to be on the horizon:
- 20–200mm f/3.5–6.3
- 35mm f/1.2 II
