Kazuto Yamaki confirms Sigma is going to make a Full Frame L-mount camera with Foveon sensor!
The Spanish website Photolari had a chat with Kazuto Yamaki. And he confirmed that
- Sigma SA mount is dead
- Sigma will launch a new Full Frame Foveon L-mount camera!
Mr. Yamaki did not unveil when this new camera would be ready. But I dam love that they are doing it!
(L4) Entry level Panasonic S camera has 24MP and High End Panasonic S camera has 48MP sensor

We got the info about the sensor resolution of the two Panasonic Full Frame L-mount cameras that will be announced tomorrow:
– The Entry level “Panasonic S” has 24MP
– The High End”Panasonic S” has 48MP
Panasonic will announce the development of the two cameras and the first three lenses tomorrow at 12:30pm Berlin time. There might be some kind of live stream we can show you on this site…

Panasonic will name their new Full Frame cameras with “S”

A small detail: Panasonic uses the “G” to name their Micro Four Thirds cameras. But the new Full Frame L-mount cameras will use the “S”.

I got some more details about the new Panasonic FF cameras that will be announced on Tuesday Sept 25:
Panasonic high End Full Frame camera
– Close to 50 Megapixels
– L-mount
– Panasonic designed and manufactured sensor
– 4k60p
– IBIS
– 150 Megapixel stills in Pixel Shift mode
– Dual card slot (one card should be SD)
– Price below the Sony A9 (close to $4,000)
Panasonic entry level Full Frame camera
– 20+ megapixels
– L-mount
– Panasonic designed and manufactured sensor
– 4k60p
– IBIS
– Dual card slot (one card should be SD)
Panasonic FF lenses
– 24-70mm
– 70-200mm
– 50mm
Sigma will make L-mount lenses, and EF to L-mount autofocus adapter and they are also developing an L-mount camera.
